Just wanna pop in and say the music in this game slaps. I keep coming back to listen to it, world battle and world boss especially!

thanks a lot :)

Nice enemy design. Being able to get cornered by the ghost thing that's following you is a really nice way of meshing gemplay with the spooky vibe you're going for.

Not sure how to get past level 5, since I'm not sure exactly how the sleeping things work. I seem to wake them up whatever I do. A cheat sheet or something in the description describing how the monsters work would be very helpful.

OceanSeal responds:

Thanks for the feedback! The sleeping ghosts go back to sleep if you stop moving when they open their eyes. We'll add a cheat sheet soon

Short but sweet edutainment game. Kind of feels like a hardcore version of Emily is Away. Very nice visual style and stressful (in a good way) gameplay. Eventually I ended up sitting between the lanes so I didn't have to steer, so maybe the cars should be a little wider to prevent that.

Man it's been a while since I played one of these. Very faithful Karoshi game with enough out-of-the-box surprises that make it hard to believe it's a fangame.

One bug I found: it's possible to place two portals of the same colour, though they're still functional so just a visual glitch.

Neat idea with a cute aesthetic. The platforming is very frustrating though and I think if it was more forgiving it would be a lot more fun to play. As it is I'm struggling to get past the level with the hanging platforms over spikes.

I would say less acceleration on the movement (or even just constant speed) and already it would be much better. Maybe spikes could only damage you if you touch the top, but if you fixed the acceleration that wouldn't be so much of an issue anyway.

Supereo responds:

Thank you for the feedback

Pretty cool game, mostly just needs polish I'd say. Not sure if it's just me but the game window ends up rendering larger than my browser window, so the top and bottom and up being cut off unless you zoom out. Also adding hotkeys so you don't have to move the mouse and click on things all the time would go a long way to making gameplay smoother. I'd imagine it makes more sense on mobile though seeing as you mentioned google play in the description.

Good stuff though and I'm personally always a sucker for isometric graphics 😁

EDIT: this is on 1920*1080, but it's the browser favourites bar that's cutting it off. Maybe a target resolution a little less than 1080p would be ideal for 1080p screens in browser?

jaloveast1k responds:

Hey, can you tell me what's your screen resolution and what browser are you using? THing is, game is gonna resize to whatever screen size user have got, but newgrounds wants me to specify a certain target size so I've just set it to the most common 1920x1080.
And thanks!

Nice game with some pretty enteratining dialogue, I played it to what I think is the end and had a good time. I was almost turned off at the beginning since the platforming feels a bit janky at first, but you get used to it.
Catchy music too, hope it passes judgement!

adriendittrick responds:

Thanks for playing 'till the end :)

Very nice to look at and pretty fun, if extremely difficult as others have pointed out. The idea of a very fast paced survival-themed game is pretty unique.

I don't think the balance issues as particularly game-breaking seeing as this is more of a arcade/minigame, but maybe to avoid the frustration a lot of people are facing the difficulty could ramp up a bit more slowly. I personally found hunger impossible to stay on top of, with food restoring so little of it.

The animation when you move is just really, really satisfying, and it gives me the same feeling I get when I bite into a custard cream. That sounds like a small thing but it (along with the colour palette) helps make this game like a very relaxing and chilled out Necrodancer.

The way the AI works can be a little hard to predict at times, and having a random element in a puzzle game can lead to frustration. That said given how chilled out it is it's pretty difficult to be frustrated at all while playing.

grinrobot responds:

Thank you for your kind feedback!)) We have prepared 66 levels in the full version of the game. New monsters, new adventures, map and new smart moves are waiting for you! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1209520/Smart_Moves

Very satisfying to play. The music is nice and catchy, and looped well so it doesn't feel like it gets old. The tileset used is also nice to look at.

Main drawback are the UI elements which clash a bit with each other in terms of style. There's also some aliasing going on with some of the text, and blurriness probably from being scaled. Just some anti-aliased text would go a long way to make the UI more pleasant. The rest of the game is enjoyable if you look past the UI though :)

AdityaChaudhary responds:

Glad you enjoyed the game :)

I make dinky little games and even dinkier little music for those games.
